Match the door contact to the gap and environment

For gates and cold room doors, consider gap, movement, temperature and humidity. Check fastening and switching state after installation. Door and window monitoring can complement cold room temperatures or after-hours alerts.

Sensor selection questions

Does a contact detect a locked door?

No. A standard magnetic contact reports open or closed state, not whether the lock is engaged.
