Measure noise levels without recording conversations
Recurring noise in stairwells, classrooms or shared areas can be investigated through sound-level monitoring. SECURUS shows when levels rise and how long they stay elevated. Sensors measure decibel levels without recording conversations.
Example data for illustration. You set the thresholds yourself in the platform.
From the reading to the right person.
Measure
Sensors record readings or events directly on site.
Stairwell A · 78 dBTransmit
Via LoRaWAN to a gateway within range, then through its internet connection to the platform.
Check
The platform checks every value against your thresholds, rules and time windows.
Above 65 dB · During quiet hoursAlert
The responsible person receives an SMS or email with location, time and trigger.
Trends instead of impressions
A short peak means something different from a longer loud period. The history shows when it gets loud and whether this is linked to use, equipment or a door; the cause itself is found on site. The sound level sensor provides the current level, the equivalent level and the maximum level.
Use it objectively
An alert shows an anomaly at the measuring point, not who caused it. Legally robust expert reports require standard-compliant measurements by specialists. In shared areas, agree the purpose and access to the data in advance.
Compare noisy periods in schools and shared spaces
Compare typical usage periods: lessons, breaks, events and quiet hours. For property managers, recurring noisy periods can prompt a targeted inspection. After an intervention, observe changes at the same measurement point. Readings from different locations or sensor positions have limited comparability.
Frequently asked questions about noise measurement
Can I listen to conversations?
No. The sensor only measures the level; there are no audio recordings.
Does an alert show who was loud?
No, only that it was loud at the measuring point and when.
Is the measurement suitable as evidence?
Not for expert reports. It is suitable for narrowing down problems and following up on measures.
Can noise alerts be limited to certain periods?
Yes. Alert rules can be combined with schedules, such as quiet hours or lesson times.
